Family changes in small ways we often don’t notice until much later. One year it’s tiny hands reaching for yours. The next, they’re racing ahead of you, laughing as you try to keep up. It moves quickly and sometimes quietly.

That’s why I photograph families. Not for posed smiles or picture-perfect moments, but for the real things. The way your child leans into you when they’re tired. The way siblings grab each other’s hands without even thinking. These are the moments worth holding onto.

I offer family photography throughout Utah, including North Ogden, Alpine, Highland, Park City, Fruit Heights, and nearby areas. If you're hoping for honest images that reflect your family just as they are, I'm here for it.

There’s no performance involved. I’m not expecting anyone to behave a certain way. If your toddler wants to explore, we’ll follow them. If someone needs a snack break, we pause. I’ll guide you when needed, but I also step back when things are unfolding on their own.

My role as your family photographer in Utah isn’t to create a perfect version of your life. It’s to help you see the beauty of what’s already here.

What Family Photography Feels Like

Here’s how it usually comes together:

● We’ll talk about location: Somewhere that fits your family’s energy. That might be a quiet field in Fruit Heights, a mountain overlook in Alpine, or your own backyard.

● I’ll help with wardrobe ideas: So everyone feels good and looks like themselves. Nothing over-styled. Just simple, comfortable, and natural.

● The session will feel more like time spent together than a photoshoot. You won’t be told to “smile” or “hold still.” I may offer a few prompts, but your connection will do most of the work.

● We keep it relaxed: We roll with whatever happens. That’s where the good stuff is anyway.

Kids are kids. You don’t need to worry about how they’ll behave. We’ll follow their lead and let real moments guide us.

What Happens at a Family Photography Session, Utah

Though I’m based in Davis County, as a professional family photographer, I travel to families across Utah. Each location adds something unique. Some families love the golden light near Park City. Others prefer quiet trails in Highland or wide open spaces in North Ogden.

You don’t need to have a spot picked out. If you do, we’ll go there. If not, I’ll suggest places that match the feel you’re going for. The point is to find somewhere that helps your family feel like themselves.
