For your arrival at the studio, we recommend dressing your little one in a simple onesie—ideally one with a zipper rather than buttons to make the transition into styling as easy as possible. A significant portion of your gallery will be family-focused, capturing these first moments together. We generally set aside two to three hours for your newborn portraits. While the photography itself typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, we build in extra time to ensure the environment remains calm and unhurried. This allows for plenty of grace should your baby need an extra feeding, or if a sibling needs a little more time to feel comfortable in front of the camera. As an experienced Utah newborn photographer, I find that following the baby’s lead always results in the most beautiful, relaxed images.
